Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend if I haven’t registered yet?

Yes! We will have registration at the door.

If I come to the first night, is there any obligation to come back?

No, this is a non-committal social event. We would be sad to not see you again though!

I am not a student at OSU or LBCC, can I join in?

We welcome all young adults in the Corvallis area to join us! If you are not a young adult (ages 18-30) or a student, try inquiring with opportunities at St. Mary’s Parish in Corvallis.

I came to the first Alpha Night, but now it’s later in the term, is it okay to jump back in?

Absolutely!

It’s later in the term and I want to join in the Alpha Course, can I join?

Contact us at alpha@osunewman.org! We typically recommend that participants join at least one of the first three nights, as after that, the nights start to build on each other.

What do I need to bring to Alpha?

Yourself! We will provide a pen and a notebook. Also bring an open mind, and a willingness to engage in conversation!

Is Alpha @ OSU associated with a Church or student organization?

Yes. Alpha @ OSU is a ministry of the Newman Center at OSU, the Catholic campus ministry for Oregon State.
